I think the issue here might me the fact various Approvers are not particularly fans of giant breasts. Comparing other posts by the same artist, the others have girls with a more reasonable chest size.

oh~... So Approvers like small breasts then, I see...

i've been having poor fortune with the modqueue. any feedback on why these three might have been rejected?

Example 1
Example 2
Example 3

the only ideas i have are either some mistake in uploading/labeling or just the fact that they're not traditionally anime style (but is that even a requirement of the site's images?). any clarity would be great

Self-uploads tend to not get through the queue often, and pornographic artwork is less likely to be approved than safe artwork just in general. Western art is allowed, but approvers may scrutinize it more or be less inclined to approve it.

Anyways, what would be the matter with post #7911999? Just a cute little alternate hairstyle pic of an obscure character, and I haven't had any issues getting this artist's work approved outside of this post.

Indeed, nothing wrong with your post. The quality doesn't differ at all from other posts of the same artists, so I suggest you to appeal it.

thanks for the insight!
so would it be better to just make another account where i pretend to not be myself? logic doesn't really make sense...the image is the image, who cares who uploads it

No, because they will find out, your posts will still be tagged with self-upload, and you may even get banned from trying to circumnavigate the rules.

That is our current policy, but we used to heavily discourage self-uploads because many artists overestimate their abilities and are more likely to post art that does not meet quality standards. Some approvers may disagree with the site softening its stance against self-uploads and may have the tag blacklisted. That makes it harder for good self-uploads to get through, but we can't force approvers to approve things they don't want to.

They also tend to get very irate when their art is unnapproved or judged harshly. Got an example of that just the other day.

Of course, users that don't self-upload do all of those things, too (even more illogical given they didn't even create the artwork), so it ultimately didn't really make sense to treat self-uploaders differently from anyone else. As long as it's acceptable quality and on-topic, who uploaded it shouldn't be relevant to the approval process beyond individual approver opinion.
