It's not like there is no precedent for this, we already have utility shortened name aliases for a bunch of series, such as MahoIku, KonoSuba, NinTama, RoshiDere (recently approved) and some other series that I can't recall at the moment, but I'm sure there's more examples out there.
One of those was made 7 years ago and another 13 years ago, I would not call them precedents. And I'd call KonoSuba the exception more than the rule because that's one case where the shorthand way is extremely more popular and well known than the full series name, to the point where there's a lot of utility in having it as an alias.
But then we get BURs like the kagepro one, where we're just taking the katakana and turning it to romaji and aliasing that instead. There's no point in that. If a japanese guy's going to search for カゲプロ they can just slap that in the search bar and it'll work. And who's going to type utapri to get a tag with less than 1000 posts like uta no prince-sama, that got exactly 1 post in the last month?
