(Wiki) translation of tags into an unclaimed language

In addition to tag descriptions, the Danbooru Wiki also has versions of these tags in other languages. They are usually in Japanese, Chinese and Korean, but I have also seen Greek and German versions for example.
Question: if I am a native speaker of a language that is clearly not in demand on Danbooru, can I start giving translations of all tags into Russian right now?
The question was asked because this will affect my Wiki change statistics
I also know two tags with a Russian version: rape and sunflower

Translated tags are to match the tags from sites that people upload from (pixiv, twitter, etc) with our tags. Adding other languages is pretty much useless to us because there's zero chance some artist on pixiv is gonna use the german term for something to tag their post unless it's a meme.

Speaking of that, @Unban_me_from_Discord why the hell did you mass add german and cyrillic translations for rape and tons of other wikis? That shit is borderline vandalism.

To build on this, the feature that allows you to search Danbooru tags using the Other Names system used in wikis was something that was only added in the last few years (forum #177736), an add-on to the primary use that system has, which is to link the tags used on other websites (ex. Pixiv, Twitter, deviantArt, etc) to their closest equivalents on Danbooru, if such equivalents exist.

To be fair though we have support for VK (a Russian site) and Behance (which has a pretty big Russian userbase), so i think adding legit Russian tags used on those sites and other supported sites should be fair game

These changes were made before the support for any of those sites was added. There's also no point in adding the german term for rape to a wiki. This shit is just another example of the user in question acting like a braindead wehraboo.

Danbooru is a site for English speakers, writing in that language is part of the community rules which every user (In theory) should know and read before even commenting or searching images properly. So, if a user doesn't dominate English even in a very basic way, they shouldn't even think about contributing in the first place, regardless of their native language.

I have an idea about the structure of VK and I will say this: looking for art there is, to put it mildly, inconvenient. The status of VK is very far from the status of a site for arts, so it is essentially useless.

Moreover, all Russian versions of tags added to DWiki redirected specifically to Pixiv and simply entered the Russian word into the search bar with 0 results.

The links on wiki pages automatically go to pixiv, but there's a userscript that allows users to go to other sites' versions of those tags from danbooru (though VK isn't one of those sites). Regardless, even though the other names only link to pixiv by default, they're grabbed from any site when an image is uploaded. For example if a tag is used on DeviantArt or Artstation, it will be recognized if it matches one in the wiki.

I did add the Finnish title of Ginga (franchise) to its other names a while back but that was just because it has a large Finnish following (especially since the series is niche to begin with) and is used as a tag on social media sometimes. I hope that's not an issue?

As long as it's actually used I don't see an issue. e.g. like how for the Hazbin Hotel wiki we have the Chinese localized name in the other names because that show has a large Chinese following.

This Finnish title does not help at all in finding art on the topic, so it is useless.
Considering that predominantly East Asian creativity is uploaded here, the influence of China on any franchise is in any case incomparable with Finnish ones.

If there are people uploading fanart using the Finnish title, then it's literally not useless, since it's another keyword that can be used to find more art.

It's useful to include the Finnish translation if it's being used, for example post #7729391.

Basically, you can type a lot of franchise names in other common European languages ​​into the Twitter search and still find some art.
Although, perhaps for very rare franchises it is really worth making exceptions.

I added it because it's a niche Japanese franchise with a sizably large Finnish following that it does not have in most other countries. Much of the fanart comes from Finns.
