Sorry to bump this after so long. I just came across this thread by accident, saw that there were some numbers and statistics involved, and felt compelled to comment (just finished playing that DS math game)
I thought I'd compare Touhou with another popular copyright, Evangelion, in order to see if Touhou is indeed more likely to get approved (all the numbers were rounded-up)
Touhou:87220 posts, 1350 deleted (1.5%)
Evangelion:5040 posts, 290 deleted (5.8%)
It might seem that there's significant bias in favor of Touhou, but jxh2154 mentioned before that about 86% of all Touhou posts are safe, compared to 59% total, and that there's bias towards explicit images in general, which is why more Touhou is approved. Even so:
Touhou: 75080 safe posts, 880 deleted (1.2%)
Evangelion: 3200 safe posts, 80 deleted (2.5%)
The 1.3% difference might seem small, but it represents about 1000 safe Touhou posts, which is already more than most copyrights have. As for explicit posts, the difference is just too big:
Touhou: 3900 explicit posts, 210 deleted (5.3%)
Evangelion: 770 explicit posts, 130 deleted (16%)
It's kinda hard to believe that all Japanese artists suddenly got good at drawing frills and hats and forgot how to draw plugsuits. Either way, I'm not really trying to make an argument here, I don't care if some Touhou or whatever copyright gets deleted, I just did the math out of curiosity, and thought I'd post it anyways in case it might be somehow useful or provide some info regarding how you guys in charge will handle approvals, unnapprovals, quality, etch.
Sorry if I made a mistake somewhere, sorry for the wall of text, and once again sorry for bumping this after so long.
