Dropping off Kanataso's latest outfit, we can decide on the name once we have more to work from.

Given how it's being depicted in fanart, it seems like it might be appropriate to give Kanata's newest costume the (summer) qualifier, ala Marine and Koyori.

We might be forced to go with GamingRodent's earlier suggestion for Flare's 4th to be just (casual), and maybe include Watame's 8th with that too, but for both of these I could just imagine being included in hololive Closet and them getting completely unique names ala Nakiri Ayame (Girly), plus it conflicts with what folks generally think of as their casuals, which is Shiranui Flare (Street) and Tsunomaki Watame (Street Casual). Speaking of that Ayame costume though, maybe (girly) might be our best bet for Mel's 5th if we want to restrict the use of Gothic Lolita to clothing that's actually Gothic Lolita and not just inspired by that (either that or Frilly). Risu's 3rd continues to allude me when it comes to thinking of a name, same with the dresses.

An implication for Mito's most recent costume.

As we're approaching the end of the Hololive List™, I decided to get a headstart on the Nijisanji costumes (excluding VirtuaReal and VEgo) and, oh god, there are so many of them. I'll try to sort these out as best as I can, but golly gee wilikers, is there a ton to sort through.

First off, we have the base costumes, the ones most fanart will depict. We still need to decide what we'll name the active base costumes sooner or later, but now is not that time. The awkwardness presented with Nijisanji, in contrast to Hololive, is that there a lot more instances where a new default is not the costume they got after their debut, but one way later, forcing us to keep nth_costume for those, while in other cases, old_design was usable (which also means we're in a position where we could have someone's old design, most common default and current default all represented).

In the list you may have noticed that I also included Nijisanji VTubers who have not received costumes yet despite being active - this is both to potentially preempt them getting costumes, but also for me to include here a section for those who did not get any costumes (as in, no unique model for a costume - they may have received accessories, but we don't tag those individually).

Normally, I'd try to subdivide into various categories, but thankfully there has been some sub-categorization on the part of the Nijisanji Unofficial Wiki, which helps in serving as a good starting base, especially for the sheer fucking amount of casual costumes there are. Speaking of, that's the first section.

Beyond casuals, there's a lot of subcategories, quite a few of which overlap with the next category of formalwear, so you'll see sub-subcategorization. We'll first start with those you can reasonably still lump under casual, the school uniforms and loungewear.

But from here, we get into the awkwardness that is seasonal costumes. There's quite a few costumes that are seasonally-based that can fall under either casual or dresses, so I'll have them here instead.

But of course, we can't talk about seasonal costumes without getting into seasonal events.

And with that we can finally get into the formalwear, including suits, dresses, the works.

I'll carry over the previous categories of ethnicwear and businesswear, but these might change as I dig deeper.

Next, we have all the work/idol costumes that have accumulated over the years, because no matter what part of the VTuber business you're involved in, music always rakes in cash.

As a sub-category, I'll have all the unique unit costumes paired in their own section.

After that, we have the cosplay ones. There will be individual subcategories for common themes, while this starting one will just have miscellaneous examples.

Finally, we have the ones that don't really fit into any of the above. They can be segmented further down, but you can see that for yourself.

I'm still combing through all these tags, because there's at least 500 more of them that have accumulated in the background as we tried to finish up the Hololive costumes. I'll post this now and incrementally edit it to include the other costumes.
