How do I tag this?

Posted under Tags

I had this discussion in a comment under the picture, but I though I'd bring it to the official place to get some more input on it.

The above picture is tagged as "1girl" and as "3boys". But how do we know that any of the attackers are boys at all - or if there are three of them? Like, even if we assume the attackers to be boys, its very well possible that we are having 2 attackers, judging by the number of hands (which are by the way explicitly tagged as "male hands").

How would you tag this? Is it maybe worth it to create a "unknown gender" tag? Because, frankly, since they are wearing the same uniform as the victim, I think there is a stronger indicator of them being women (because of gendered uniforms), but truthfully we just don't know it.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts on how you would handle this! :)

How do character counts work in landscaping posts where the people tag is applicable? Because no humans is just plain wrong, but there's no central figure I can pinpoint (well, at least as much as one can in landscape pics) for any useful character counts.

People don't count for character count tags -- the wiki says as much. For a post like that, I don't think any character count tags are needed or relevant. The purpose of tags is search, and that doesn't look like a post you're searching for when you search or exclude char counts.

That post contains humans (so no humans is wrong, as you say), but not characters. The way I see it, people is the only tag that applies. The focus on the environment is covered by the scenery tag.

Incidentally, I don't think landscape actually applies to that post. Per its wiki, it's for natural landscapes. The environment there looks somewhere in between industrial and cityscape.

Ah! That makes plenty sense! I just got kind of stumped there, overthinking things. Thank you! (And whoops, you are completely right on landscape. Fixed the tags on that.)

I guess food writing is meant to be used when any food, like chocolate, is used to write something (on a body, etc.)? I mean, the tag sounds self-explanatory, but the wiki description doesn't? If there isn't another tag for such a thing, maybe the wiki could use a rewrite?

Body writing and chocolate on body
But yeah, I think it's supposed to be "Writing on food" and not "food writing" by wiki description. Maybe we need to rename tag or change wiki

I'm not into KanColle, does this this really classify as a school uniform? I looked at the chartag and there are like a hundred mistags for serafuku where the character is just wearing a shirt with a sailor collar.

Not really. The girl is wearing an school swimsuit, and you don't really need to be into the franchise to notice this. I guess the uploader added the tag because, the girl in the image is wearing a necktie, something a little strange for a swimsuit. But no, I don't think this classifies as school uniform, because the character isn't wearing any of the other accesories the Wiki mentions.
