What's the difference between infrared and thermogram? And for the posts tagged as such, which should be preferred over another?
Is there any name for this kind of head ornament in post #7190192? Or is crown the closest thing?

A thermogram is a thermal image. They are visual displays of the amount of infrared energy emitted, transmitted, and reflected by an object. Images like post #4032656 would fall under the category of thermograms. However realistically both of these categories are redundant to one another as thermographs are by definition the projected image of infrared energy. So labeling post like the one I mentioned before as one or the other isn't wrong but I think that thermogram is a better categorization for them.
edit: spelling
What's the name of this strange candy? It looks like a candy lollipop with three balls, instead of just one, usually colored in green, white and pink respectively. It is Raiden Shogun's favorite candy (I say this because I've seen her eating it in many images) but I am not sure its exact name and how should I tag an image with this candy.

Using post #6683449 as our example...
Can someone tell me what kind of dress she's wearing? I'm not familiar with chinese clothes, and I need to know at least that in order to write a proper wiki page for this transformation she gets.

I think she's wearing a china_dress based in its appareance. Although, the Wiki of the tag mentions to not use this tag if the clothing is not a dress. It looks more like a tangzhuang or a changpao in my opinion.

post #7197395. is there a tag for swords or similar weapons being embedded in a person? sword wiki doesn't have something unless I'm overlooking something.
For Dragon Quest fans.
This was tagged with Soldier (DQ3) originally, but the helmet looks completely different. It appears to be cosplay of the Lethal Armour, but the helmet looks like its from a Knight Errant-type monster. I also thought it might be cosplay of Ryan because of the pink armor, but there are too many differences between them. Maybe she's cosplaying a completely different character. I don't know which character tag would be the best fit.

Considering the fact that I saw a Kung Fu Peach on the very first page for changpao, I'm going to assume that is the correct tag unless told otherwise! Thank you! Now I can complete my wiki set!
Does anybody know if it's okay to use icon (computing) if an image has a phone (or any other device) with icons? Or is it for computers only?.
How to tag their neckwear?
1. is through_medium applicable?
2. any special tag for such image combinations?

01. Is not. The Wiki in the tag mentions through medium as a type of fourth-wall breaking where a character is coming out from the medium they are represented, such as coming out from a screen. In the image, Marisa looks simply stuck and there's no fourth-wall breaking implications.
02. The tag through wall seems appropiate to me, and that tag is already in the list of tags.

I assume it is the case, because in my short search, I found these two posts: post #4678545 and post #5761357 under that tag. Besides, the Wiki of the tag mentions to use icon (computing) when there are symbols or graphic representation on a screen of a program, option, or window.
