How do I tag this?

Posted under Tags

As stated in the standalone poste that I foolishly started without looking down a little. Hi! I'm a long time lurker, posting up some of the stuff I find. Has been good fun, but I DEFINITELY have been going through a learning process

I was poking in to see if there was a tag for pockmarks and facial blemishes like that seen in post #6818375 ? I tried poking around for one and was a bit stumped when an obvious tag wasn't forthcoming.

after poking around, I found the rarely used pimple tag. That seems very specific. Would a face_blemish be a useful one to consider? Though I do have a feeling it would be regarded as a bit too general.

Thank~

I don't have any strong opinions on this, but acne is currently aliased to pimple. If we want to make it more general, one option to consider is reversing it by aliasing pimple to acne.

In this case, however, I don't think such a tag would apply. The size and shading make them look more like puncture wounds to me (though I don't think we have a good tag for those either).

Looking for help with an author for post #6824451 . Source data sets the name to "1311474789," but that doesn't seem right.

As a general note, this thread is for help with regular tags. Artist tags you need help with go in topic #8199 in the future.

But anyway, that's because "1311474789" is the Pixiv stacc name, and is indeed incorrect. The name you are looking for is "生锈的皮革", which is a Chinese name that must be romanized. Yellowbridge would romanize this as Shengxiu de Pige, but pinyin is not my area of expertise, so it may not hurt to ask for a second opinion.

I know multiple views is for two different images of a character in the same post and mutually exclusive with solo.

I also know magnified copies of an image are tagged zoom layer and can be tagged solo.

But in post #6824665, the (unrealistic) reflections are all flipped versions of the main image and are about the same size, so it doesn't seem like multiple views or zoom layer would fit. And if I understand correctly, solo also can't be used with reflection in these cases. Which combination of tags should be used?

Edit: Just found forum #98857. If it is correct, then solo can be used with reflection.

Seems to be Concepts

Ah, thank you! I created a tag called Concepts (art program) in order to handle that.

what tag for Pokemon trainer OCs that don't have an obvious in-game trainer class reference? (and don't have/need an artist/commissioner OC name tag otherwise)

(or is no specific tag needed?)

OC trainers are typically tagged as Pokemon and Original. You don't need a character tag in these cases, I don't think, especially if you don't know their name.

I feel like post #6832722 is appropriate for the excessive_pubic_hair tag so I added it. But then I noticed someone else had removed it previously and has been removing it from a lot of posts recently as well. I feel that its correct here but maybe a second opinion is in order before I think this person just has a vendetta against the tag.

It's a lot, but I don't think I would consider it "excessive", it's a definite edge case though.
