Unsure whether this artist uses AI or not. At first glance it looked AI for sure but some parts also look definitely hand drawn.

There are also some sketches on the Twitter page like https://twitter.com/BS9999s/status/1700845900074279103

Looks legit to me, but consider for second opinions beforehand.

I haven't been posting any of this artist's work because of my gut feeling that it's at least ai-assisted, but I'd like to ask for some other opinions.

If there are any surefire indicators of AI I'm overlooking them (I admit to not being very good at spotting AI art), but the detail level of their art jumped prodigiously between October 2022 (the first 4 pixiv posts) and December 2022, and there are odd variations in art and shading/coloring style between pictures. Anyone see a smoking gun anywhere?

inconclusive, might be ai-assisted later on or under training between that gap. Need second opinions before upping it.

I'd say that's human-assisted AI. Look at the flowers in the latest pic (one of flowers even melting into another) or the way the frills are drawn in others pics. And the earlier pics have kind of a 3D model look to them.

Thanks, I think you're right in combination with the circumstantial evidence.
I'll leave that artist untouched then, just in case they ever get lazy and make the leap to full AI.

Vest buttons don’t make sense, black shirt doesn’t have any buttons even though the collar and neckline make me expect some, the double necklaces are kinda wonky, some discontinuous on the left side, background is nonsense with flat buildings and unaligned rows of windows. The low resolution makes me suspect that this is straight-up AI. The lack of source doesn’t help either.

Arcana55 had explained about its ai-assisted tag in the comments, but I want to know others' opinion about this piece.

While there's bad anatomy and strange clothes I don't think this picture involves AI. The coloring bleeds out of the lineart, and you can see polygonal, straight-line edges of the colored layers, suggesting the artist just roughly erased or masked the layers till they broadly meet up with the lineart. The shading and highlights on the bikini look like Photoshop's clipping mask. The skin does not give a strong AI feel, and is also pretty consistent with the artist's 3-year-old works. I would disagree with the ai-assisted tag.

Was going to say this myself, even the framing on recent pieces feels uncomfortably cramped unlike their past work. I'm no expert, though.

Glad someone feels the same. But this is really borderline and hard to make a call.
