Well, I don't play Blue Archive. But I've noticed that many artists on Pixiv and other imageboards prefer to use full character name instead of "(character initial) (blue archive)".
For example, Saori is tagged as "Saori (Blue Archive)" on Danbooru, but on Pixiv and other imageboards uses her full name "Joumae Saori" instead.
Since this is a different case from Arknights (where characters were almost always referred by their code name and their full name were rarely used), Blue Archive's full character name were frequently used to distinct them from their namesakes from different franchise (with Ichinose Asuna being a prime example) and most of them does not serve as a spoiler. I think their full name should be aliased to the existing tag for utility reasons.
I will not made a request yet since I'm not sure what would you guys think, so please leave a reply below.
I don't play BA either. I mass translated commentaries of some posts with character names alone and found it unusual, so I think it'd be useful, at least as utility aliases.
I play Blue Archive. As far as I know, their full names are mostly shown in the character's profiles, and also rarely appears in the main story/side story/event story itself.
That being said, I support at least their full names as utility aliases.

100% this. The one time I played BA I came to danbooru and searched for a character by her last name since the pull screen had her full name, only to not find anything. I'd personally be in favor of full names, but utility aliases at the very least should be in place if we're following gacha conventions for it
I've decided to make this request act as a sort of a poll to decide on whether or not we're using full name as alias or main tag. Please upvote if you're prefering full name as utility alias, downvote for full name as main tag.
Few girls (Yume, Sora, Ichika, Kirara, Erika, Niko, Yukino, Otogi, Kurumi, Mina, Rumi, Kisaki, Kasumi, Ibuki, Satsuki, Kuzunoha, Umika) don't have their full names known, so I'd prefer to have full names as alias and not as main tag for the simplicity and uniformity.
Also, most characters have their tags and full names in tags and notes at post #6172178 - just pointing in case it would make it easier for you.
Part 2/2. I'm 99.99% sure that everything here is correct and matches EN client whenever applicable. Alters (swimsuit, bunny, etc.) not included. kagami_chihiro, wakaba_hinata, kasuga_tsubaki conflict with existing tags, and I'm not sure how to handle them. All the other ones has 0 posts, so should be safe.
Edit: sorted alphabetically, added qualifiers to everyone
I am a player of BA and IMO this tag change would not be beneficial, as their full names are seldom used and are barely a step above merely being trivia. Only serious BA nerds would even remember more than a couple family names of the major characters and even I who plays daily cannot recall the less prominent ones. This would serve no purpose except to make searching their tags much more difficult.
Their family names serve just fine being limited to their respective wiki pages along with other trivia information such as their school, club, and other interesting facts, but as a tag it does not provide any more functionality than we already have with our current methods.

The currently proposed aliases wouldn't make searching more difficult at all. Aliases are an alternate search option, not a replacement.

Oops, guess I should have paid closer attention. Regardless, the point stands that their surnames are seldom used and as far as danbooru goes it is practically only trivia. But if it doesn't harm functionality whatever I guess.

Downvoting the BURs above mean you prefer the full names as the main tags, so you might want to unvote.

That's honestly a really poor way to handle this, especially when full names as the main tags are less likely to actually be approved, given previous admin opinions on tagging gacha game characters. It's also just confusing.
I would meh on this because I honestly don't see the point. students are commonly referred to by their given name (in story chapters, recruitment banners, basically any other text mentioning them), the number of times full names are used for dramatic effect in the story I could probably count on both my hands.
doubtful that even 60% of the en playerbase knows a given student's family name, since unless they are prominent story figures the only exposure we get to family names is through that tiny little biography/trivia info button on their profile.

It wasn't me who proposed it though, nor do I agree with the full names as the main tags.
Honestly blame the game since they just introduce them by not stating their full name unlike some others. Also as the other states the students in BA are always refer by their given name only.
You could ask opinión to people who really plays the game before jumping on conclusions, since the last name Is the last thing they use in the game, at least not yet since few characters are siblings or the family or clan concept are rarely used, that just a factor to keep in mind
