This is happening because it's the first (active) pool when listed alphabetically, so it's the default option when you click "Add to pool > See full list". The problem's now moved to pool #6332, next in the list.

I'm guessing pool #10702 (named ".") was intended to catch these misfires, but it's marked inactive so it doesn't work.

Good catch. I marked pool #10702 as active and gave it a more informative name and description. Let’s see how this works out.

Seems to be effectively covered by the ballerina tag.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but
won't the stage connection tag effectively replace pool #2353 (Touhou Stages Gathering)?
Their descriptions are even similar Oh wait their descriptions are just copy-pasted?

The latest image tagged with stage_connection doesn't even follow the description, the image has only two same-stage characters while the description requires three.

Though, it seems that the use of the pool is more popular than the tag...

I think you want topic #8984 for that. Also, remember that you can flag posts yourself (one per day, as a Member-level user), but see howto:flag first.

There is a pool called 'Best Heels' pool #12524 and contains only seven pictures. Pool is created by a user called, you would never guess it, 'bestheels' http://danbooru.donmai.us/users/520758

Seems more like a personal collection rather than a valid pool.

Not really about a pointless pool, but more about a pointless announcement in pool #903 which was about not removing the Meowth post.
I think this announcement is only creating some kind of aggressivity and not helpful for what belongs into this pool and what doesn't. If it's wished, it can always be reverted back.

Yeah, I've often wanted to remove that extremely passive aggressive statement. It's too bad that descriptions were only versioned recently, or we could determine who actually added that... :/

I could make a guess (and would be 100% correct), but I think it doesn't matter even.
