Their functionality will be replaced by saved searches. The two should be functionally equivalent now. Existing tag subscriptions will not be deleted and you can migrate them to saved searches at any time by browsing to the admin page.
If there are any concerns or bugs you've noticed you can write about them here or post them on Github.

We still don't have private saved searches, do we?
Could we increase the number of saved searches thumbnails visible in profile pages to 14 or 15? And make uploads and favorites the same so it's uniform (related discussion: topic #13381)
On the contrary, I do want public saved searches... I keep my subscriptions public for the reason that I like sharing the artists that I like and think are good.
As a reminder, this is what a tag subscription is currently:
Each user can have up to 5 tag subscriptions.
A single tag subscription represents multiple searches.
A single tag subscription can have at most 20 searches.
If you have a gold account, you can view all the posts for a single tag subscription, or across all tag subscriptions.
These searches involve asynchronous searches that return the X most recent posts for that tag query, where X is inversely proportional to the number of searches in the subscription. This means that the more searches a tag subscription has, the fewer posts will be returned.
These asynchronous searches refresh (in general) once a day at a random time.
In contrast, this is what a saved search is currently:
A single saved search represents a single tag query.
Platinum users can have at most 1,000 saved searches. Everyone else can have at most 250 saved searches.
A saved search can belong to a category, which is just a free form string you can choose.
If you have a gold account, you can view all posts for a single category, or across all saved searches.
Saved searches are updated asynchronously, on demand.
Each saved search will return the most recent 1,000 posts matching that tag query.

They're already private. Which is a shame, I like being able to see people's favorite artists in their profile.
Well, that's a shame. Do saved searches actually replace subscriptions in terms of functionality? I like subscriptions because I can just head to my profile for a quick glance and see new art by artists I follow or such.
Yep, and they do it better at that. Subscriptions update on daily intervals whereas saved searches update on demand. That way you see all the new stuff too.
Only difference is that one can be public, other can't. At least for now.
I'm pretty sure they are updated automatically, too. It was supposed to be manual when it was created first, but it was reworked later, though to be frank I'm not sure how it works now, either.
Is there any way to rearrange the order of the saved searches on your profile except remaking them entirely? And I would also like if there was an option to make them public, I have nothing to hide on mine and it would be nice if people found new artist from mine.

You can check my original forum post here, but basically, saved searches are currently ordered by the "updated at" timestamp. So to bring a saved search to the top of the ordering, just go in and edit it. Albeit it's not the easiest method, but it's what's currently available.

Yeah, it's not the easiest but it doesn't take too long time to do thankfully, just will be annoying to do it every time you add something to one of them.
A way to create new saved searches, as well as editing existing ones would be nice from the page itself as well. I can also suggest putting the tag list of each saved search inside a collapsible box to save on space.
