This isn't one of mine, but:
The reason given for its deletion is "It's bad..", but I don't quite see what's so "bad" about it. I do spot jpeg_artifacts, but there are other images on danbooru with jpeg_artifacts that seem to be on the same level that remain intact, so that doesn't seem like it would be what constituted the reason for deletion.

No offense there, but that image is ugly as hell. Isn't about the artifacts, is about the poor quality of an ugly ass...

I don't see what makes it ugly either.
And something seems off about using the words "poor quality" on this, I think it's that presently it seems like thinking it's an ugly ass is subjective while calling it poor quality is objective.
Someone un-deleted it and FeKa flagged it for deletion again, so there's clearly some mixed signals here.

...Previously when I mentioned that I follow some of my images to watch for negative scores, I heard some perfectly fine stuff gets tons of negative marks while some terrible stuff gets up-voted like crazy. That doesn't discount its score as a possible argument for why it should be and remain deleted, but it's not quite an explanation either. And then, of course, there's the other stuff I said.
This time, a series of scans from Shadow Hearts got auto-deleted. Here's an example of one.

Thanks to whoever recovered that one. There are other art page scans that were auto-deleted, though; I didn't post the links to them here because I was leaving it to being searched for with deleted:true. I'll post the links to them instead.

And yes, I do realize the mods, admins and janitors have a lot to do and I do appreciate that they're doing this sort of stuff. It's why I ordered the above by best quality to (what I believe to be) least, basically most worthwhile to look at to least.

The appeal thread is being read. If we agree with undeleting them, we will. We won't necessarily comment on every one. Personally, I don't usually approve the "character design page" type uploads, but that's just me. If another mod/admin/janitor wants to approve it they will.

Ah, okay. I always thought the official character design page/artbook stuff was straight-forward for sure approval material as long as it's good quality.
And I'll be honest with myself, some of it's that aside from the very first one ( post #346920 ), the ones brought back so far seem less meaningful than the ones that haven't been (like the first, of Ouka).
But as I said, since these posts I also found better quality scans; some hitting 1 or more MB, so I can upload those if that would be preferred. This one's more about offering the best I can to danbooru rather than (if some see it this way) trying to "bypass the system," something I would never do intentionally.
Edit: This is also why I haven't uploaded any NEW art scans yet, I'm waiting to see what the stance is with this where if most of these aren't wanted and there aren't other reasons besides 'they're art pages', I won't waste time and danbooru resources uploading the others.

Actually, do you guys mind if I just upload the better quality ones anyway and we forget the ones above? I'd rather do that, and I think they might have a better chance of showing their worthiness if they're better quality. I'm basing this on the two that got brought back in which the art itself isn't as robust as the stuff that didn't get brought back, as it seems like the ones that got back got brought back for being a larger size that allows you to see more details.
Any chance of having post #350158 un-deleted? It got caught in the 3-day auto delete.
Its got several favourites and a decent score of 15.
Would any janitors mind digging post #351132 out of the auto-deletion grave? I think it's the only pic by shunzou that has yet to be approved.
