Thoughts on having automatic tags specifically for jpg and pngs? I'd kinda like to see that done with the highres tage too, I don't think having an image with a 1000 pixel count in height qualifies as high res. You could set a 1500 or maybe even ~2000 pixel height as minimum for highres and have this tagged automatically (not ever selected by the user)

highres is already an automatic tag.

You need to go into your settings and change "Enable categorized saved searches" to "Yes" and then you can set categories again. Not sure why it was disabled by default.

Thanks... that worked.

Does anyone else have this problem? Before you were able to search with two tags but now it doesn't work. Who else has this problem. Also I hope they fix the site because it looks terrible on mobile.

So from the small amount of reading I've done I've gathered that there's currently no way to turn off mobile version (correct me if I'm wrong.) What a shame the site was perfectly functional before but now the layout is all broken. Hopefully they add a way to access the desktop site soon. Until then I guess I won't be coming here much.

Yep, it's pretty much unusable on phones now. You can't see who uploaded the image, cannot go to the source or favorite an image. Basically anything below the 'Information' part of the image is cut off. And you gotta run it in landscape mode.

Well, at least you can still upload and tag from phones.

I think it's responsive design kicking in, not mobile version. If you resize your desctop browser window to small width you'll get the same results. Images stretching vertically are already taken care of by Toks for next version; what baffles me is http://imgur.com/2943Tys - something is very wrong with that, but there was no significant layout changes for months, at least I don't see any in recent commits. Perhaps adding viewport metatag done this?

I can't even get desktop mode with my browser's "set preferences to desktop site" setting!

(Windows phone/IE)

This same problem happens to my phone too. I can't even click "Favourite" on images I like here. This is like a step backward compared to last time. :(

You can add another dissenter for the new mobile layout. I have nothing to add about the layout itself, but I can say that I can still request the desktop site (currently running Firefox 42 for Android); it doesn't persist across tabs, though.

If you mean the image being tiny I fixed that for the next version. The image scaling algorithm was taking the sidebar into account when scaling the image down to screen width, even though the responsive view has no sidebar.

So you can still access the desktop site? I've tried using multiple browsers and requesting the desktop site does nothing on any of them. It tries to display the site but ends up just refreshing and displaying the mobile site again. This is on an iPhone with iOS 9 and I've tried using Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

I'm not sure what's happening - it seems to think phones are limited to 800 x 600 resolution, and then makes that the max. If you turn off Javascript resize and the 800px resize, you don't get the large margins but the weird proportional resizing continues. This, despite using a phone that has a screen resolution similar to an iPad Air 2...

I don't see the same issues in a tablet with the same version of Chrome, so it's not the browser.

The layout also gets messed up for notes in mobile view - you can see the weird placement in that image.

As an update to the layout issues, here's what I get on a device with 720 x 1280 resolution with the resize off and the 'original' default image width options on:

Note that the note placement, while not as messed up, still doesn't even come close vertically.

And this is the same device with the default image width at 850px:

The Note placement seems to think the image had been resized proportionally.

The notes being mispositioned should also be fixed by the image scaling being fixed.
