I have no idea what's up with the beeping.
I initially thought it was a reference to the beeping sounds of their machines but they don't even sound remotely similar.

Apparently the beep sounds are not universal, and McDonald's Japan's fryer makes this sound.

Going to take a stab based on MTL. This is probably in reference to Twitter's change in how blocking users works. Before blocked users could not interact or see posts from accounts that blocked them, but now they're changing it so blocked users can see the posts, but they still can't interact with them.
