type 92 (heavy machine gun)
A Japanese World War II-era heavy machine gun, chambered for 7.7×58mm cartridge. Designed by Kijiro Nambu, the design is related to the Hotchkiss M1914. The Type 92 refers to the Japanese Imperial year 2592, when it entered military service in 1932.
