The Mle 1914 Hotchkiss is a French machine gun chambered for 8×50mmR Lebel cartridge. Manufactured by Hotchkiss et Cie, it was adopted by the French Army during the latter half of World War I. Its reliable gas-operated design influenced the Japanese Type 92.
