A female character with an athletic body while not being overly muscular. Toned females are neither bulky or slim and sit just in the middle between muscular and non-athletic.
Toned females lean closer to their feminine side with visible muscles.

Toned abs and muscular abs are 2 distinctly different things. Usually toned abs don't depict a female with a bulky body and leans closer to their feminine side.
