talavera
Talavera is a Mexican pottery tradition from Puebla, Mexico. It features a distinct white base glaze with primarily blue accents but colors such as yellow, black, green, orange and mauve have also been used. Its production started in Puebla because of the quality of the natural clay found there.
Majolica pottery was brought to Mexico by the Spanish in the first century of the colonial period.
