ppsh-41
The PPSh-41 (Pistolet-Pulemyot Shpagina; Russian: Пистолет-пулемёт Шпагина; "Shpagin machine pistol") is a 7.62×25mm submachine gun used by the Soviet forces during the World War II. It was developed by Georgy Shpagin in mid-1941 as the lower-cost, simplified alternative to the earlier PPD-40, and it entered service the same year. The weapon is commonly pictured with a 71-round drum magazine, while the 35-round curved box magazines were also widely used.
