military jeep
A type of light utility vehicle, primarily used for military purposes or civilian offroading. The most prominent Jeep model used by the military was the Willys MB, since the World War II. The design was licensed for production to many marques around the world (in addition to unlicensed copycats), making it a ubiquitous design with many variants.
Jeeps are visually distinguishable by their seven-slot vertical grille flanked with two circular headlights.
This is a generic tag for Jeep-like utility vehicles regardless of specific model, manufacturer, or country of origin. For the modern American manufacturer, see Jeep (Company).
