marquee lights
A line or grid of lightbulbs. Often flashing intermittently or in a chasing pattern to guide the attention of a viewer in a specific direction.
These can be used as a sign themselves (like an animated arrow, or glowing letters), around the outside border of a sign, or as decoration on and around the entrances of large buildings like hotels, theatres, casinos, and train stations.
Very commonly seen in circus and movie theater aesthetics, or as the lightbulbs around the mirror of a vanity table.
