Azur Lane's personification of the Italian battleship Marco Polo, as part of the World of Warships collaboration.

She is portrayed with long blue hair framing red eyes with a mole beneath her left eye, and is tall with large breasts. Her outfit focuses on a predominantly black-and-red color scheme, featuring a black hat, black dress, black cape, black pantyhose, differently-colored gloves (black on her right, white on her left), and black high heels.

Her rigging consists of two hull pieces with lances and containing a 406 mm triple mount, 152 mm triple mount, and three 90 mm twin anti-aircraft guns per side, while she is perched on a third hull piece with the Regia Marina's real-life red-white stripes. She also uses a scepter as a melee weapon.

Her personality is incredibly boastful, much like Littorio. However, her emphasis is less on conquering herself a harem, and more on gaining riches and spreading Sardegna's glory to the furthest corners of the world, much like her namesake did.

History

Marco Polo is based on the UP41 battleship design, which was intended to be a successor to the Vittorio Veneto-class battleships.

The design of the UP41 was intended to improve upon its predecessors, with reinforced armor, better torpedo protection, more auxillary and dual-purpose weapons, and armed with a 406mm main battery to better compete against its opponents in the Royal Navy and Marine Nationale. In typical fashion for Sardegnan ships, her dedicated gun fires SAP rounds.
