libeccio (azur lane)
The personification of the Italian destroyer Libeccio (meaning the southwesterly winds) in Azur Lane.
Character design by Byulzzi, voiced by Eino Airi.
Appearance
In-game, she has an identical appearance to her sister Maestrale, having long two-tone hair (mostly white with blue inner hair) and blue eyes. Her outfit consists of a white dress, green jacket, and a black beret and a black ribbon. Unlike her sister Maestrale, she lacks a red armband.
Her rigging consists of two 120 mm twin gun mounts and two 533 mm triple torpedo tubes, one gun and torpedo mount on each side. The bridge superstructure is mounted to her back and connects the two sides.
History
In real life, she was the third of the class, grouped with them as the 10th Destroyer Division and saw service in the battles of Calabria and Taranto. In November 1941, she was assigned to cover a convoy bound for Libya alongside her sister Maestrale when their group was attacked by the Royal Navy light cruisers Aurora and Penelope. She escaped damage and attempted to pick up survivors of the destroyed convoy but was torpedoed on her stern by a Royal Navy submarine, later sinking under tow.
