hyakunin isshu
A Japanese card game in which one person begins reading a classic poem, and the players race to grab the card matching the poem's ending.
The game is also known as "Uta-garuta." "Hyakunin Isshu" is also the name of the set of poems that is usually used to play, an anthology collected by Fujiwara no Teika in the 1100s or 1200s.
