f-8 crusader
A single-seat fighter jet with an undernose air intake and a variable-incidence wing.
Serving from the 1960s to the 1990s as an interceptor and ground attack aircraft, the carrier-capable Vought F-8 Crusader was armed with 4 20mm cannon and up to 4 Sidewinders on unique Y-shaped launchers mounted on the sides of the fuselage. Later models of the Crusader could also carry stores on two wing pylons.
