donkey kong jr. (game)

The second Donkey Kong arcade game and sequel to Donkey Kong, released in 1982.

Mario has imprisoned Donkey Kong, which prompts his son Donkey Kong Jr. to set out to save him. A platformer like the previous entry, he must avoid enemies, jump over obstacles and climb vines in order to take the key away from Mario to break his father out of his cage.

Notable for being one of the few games where Mario is the antagonist.
