cygnus (constellation)
Cygnus (the Swan) is a constellation located in the Northern celestial hemisphere. Its brightest star is Deneb, part of the Summer Triangle.
Cygnus is an easily recognizable constellation. It resembles a stick figure of a bird with a short tail and long neck, hence resembling its namesake. Due to its bright cross-like central part, it is also known as the Northern Cross.
