Kantai Collection's personification of the Italian battleship Conte di Cavour.
Appearance
She has brown eyes and long light grey hair tied in a two side up hairstyle. She wears a long-sleeved white and grey frilled dress that has cleavage and armpit cutouts. She bears visibly oversized machinery mainly composed of cannons, turrets, and smokestacks, including her three triple- and two-twin 305-mm guns.
She can be remodeled twice with improvements to her machinery as well as shortened sleeves to her dress. Her first remodel reflects the 1933-1937 improvements to the battleship while her Nuovo form illustrates future refits that were never completed by 1943.
Personality
Because she is the oldest and shortest battleship in the game, her lines have her being height-conscious, having back pain due to her machinery, and complaining about the other Italian shipgirls already in the base, particularly Pola and several of the Maestrale-class girls for their behavior and Roma for calling her nosy and old. She does go along well with Gangut as long as she is not served vodka all the time.
The short length of the historical battleship translates to a petite childlike appearance that is belied only by her large breasts and mature voice, to the point she is oftentimes mistaken for being an oppai loli.
History
The historical Conte di Cavour was the nameship of the three Conte di Cavour-class dreadnought battleships of the Royal Italian Navy (Regia Marina).
The Conte di Cavour served in both World Wars, although she saw no action and was little used in World War I, and supported operations during the Corfu Incident in 1923, before going into reserve. After her first refits, she and sister ship Giulio Cesare participated in the Battle of Calabria in July 1940, where the latter was lightly damaged. The historical Conte di Cavour was badly damaged when British torpedo bombers attacked the fleet at Taranto in November 1940 and was deliberately run aground. Repairs for her were never completed by the time of the Italian armistice in 1943. She was captured by the Germans, but they made no efforts to complete her repairs. She was damaged in an Allied air raid in early 1945 and capsized a week later. The historical battleship was eventually scrapped in 1946.
The ship was named after named after Italy's first prime minister, Camillo Benso (the Count of Cavour).
Like all of the Italian shipgirls in the game, she was designed by Jiji, while her voice is provided by Iida Hikaru.
