roma (kancolle)
Kantai Collection's personification of the Italian battleship Roma.

Appearance
Roma has medium-length wavy dark brown hair with blunt bangs. She has brown eyes with pince-nez glasses that have a chain on them. In terms of clothing, what she wears is virtually identical to Littorio, except that she wears a capelet over her shoulders, and an kerchief instead of a necktie. Things in common include a sleeveless shirt with additional detached sleeves, red skirt with a white under-skirt, and armored waist area with anchors hanging down. She has white thighhighs with red striping that are held up with garter straps. She wears a white bicorn-like headdress.
Her rigging includes a split-hull design with three large triple-cannon turrets that have orange liferafts lying on them. The decks of the hull are covered in a white-and-red striped pattern which, unlike Littorio, doesn't change with the kai.
For Halloween 2015, she wears a witch costume, with a frilled dress, witch hat and one of her turrets inside a pumpkin.
For a promotion with Nakau, she was drawn in casual clothes, with a white sweater, a black skirt, pantyhose and a fashionable pair of boots while keeping her usual headdress and pince-nez. She is holding a serving of Nakau's oyakodon and beside her, a trolley bag with one of her turrets attached to it, liferafts and all. When damaged, the bag lies on the ground with a smoking hole punched through it, revealing Libeccio's fire-director hat inside.
Upon heavy damage, Roma notably has an entire turret destroyed, with fires visible within the hole of the turret. This is likely a reference to the historical sinking of the Roma, which involved the detonation of the magazine of her no. 2 turret. The force of the resulting explosion blew the turret off its mounting clear of the ship.
History
Historically, Roma was sunk by the Luftwaffe as she, her sister-ships and other units in the Italian fleet attempted to sail to Malta to surrender to the British. Because of her real-life counterpart's fate, she is often portrayed as having a grudge toward German ship girls.
Notorious for her very low drop rate in the spring 2015 event where she was a drop instead of a ensured clear reward like her sister ship Littorio, only dropping in 2 nodes in the E-6 map at very low rates 1.5% for one and 5% on the E-6 boss node.
