burqa
An enveloping, full-body garment with a semi-transparent frame of cloth about the eyes enabling sight, traditionally worn by Pashtun women in South Asia. Known as chadri in the Pashto language, it originated in pre-Islamic Afghanistan.
It is not to be confused with a hijab, niqab, abaya, and/or boshiya worn together, or with other similar garments such as the Central Asian paranja or the North African haik.
