b-36 peacemaker
The B-36 Peacemaker was a gargantuan strategic bomber first built in 1946 by Consolidated Vultee (later Convair). It was powered by six and later ten engines (6 radials driving pusher propellers and 4 podded turbojets supplementing power when needed) and could carry a maximum of 86,0000 lbs (39,000 kg) of bombs. The typical crew numbered around thirteen to fifteen, with pilots and flight engineers seated in cramped quarters under a bubble canopy.
