ah-1 cobra
An attack helicopter that combined the proven twin-bladed rotor, engine, and drive train of Bell's UH-1 Iroquois with a new slimline fuselage. It came in two main variants, the single-engine HueyCobra and the twin-engined SeaCobra (and later SuperCobra), the latter having a wider engine compartment. The AH-1 had a crew of two in tandem, with the gunner seated in front and pilot in the back.
Fixed armament included a chin-mounted turret armed with either machine guns, grenade projectors, or a single 20mm multibarrel cannon. Stub wings on either side of the fuselage could carry additional armament, such as rockets and TOW anti-tank missiles.
