Woven hatching

Woven hatching is a shading technique where the artist uses short sets of parallel marks in one direction, then an adjacent group of parallel marks in an almost perpendicular direction to add shade to the art piece.The effect looks woven or like a basket when done well.
Note that this tag is not mutually exclusive with other subtypes of hatching, an artist may use linear hatching or crosshatching as well.
