According to the Gospels, the wife of Joseph and mother of Jesus. Catholic tradition believes she was conceived without original sin and remained a perpetual virgin even after giving birth to Jesus. Mary is the only woman explicitly mentioned by name in the Koran and is considered a figure of exceptional sanctity in Islam.

In 2022, a derivative depiction of her (itself based on Orthodox art of her holding Baby Jesus one-armed) drawn by Chris Shaw from 2012, known as 'Madonna Kalashnikov', was drawn over to depict her holding a FGM-148 Javelin, in reference to the successful usage of Javelins by the Ukrainians against the Russians. This edit of her would quickly spread, dubbed St. Javelin. Another variant would emerge in this style, except instead wielding the FIM-92 Stinger, dubbed St. Inger.
