Artworks that serve as thumbnails for videos in external platforms (e.g. YouTube, NicoNico, bilibili), which means the entire post is a thumbnail.
This tag should only be used in one of the following cases:
1. The original artist themselves created a video using their own illustration (e.g. post #6849506 and post #5598651)
2. Someone directly commissioned an artist to create the picture for their video (so they were granted permission to use it as a thumbnail) (e.g. post #6766229)
There must be proof that the image is a thumbnail of a real video, namely:
A. The video is directly linked in the source field (e.g. post #6278828)
B. The artist linked the video URL in the commentary field (e.g. post #6582857)
C. By posting a comment (e.g. post #6813221)
This tag should not be used for parodies of actual video thumbnails (which means things like post #6515886 and post #6467103 do not qualify for this tag). It should not be used either for redrawn thumbnails of actual videos (as seen in post #8204965)
For posts that depict the User Interface of video platforms or made-up videos, use fake video (e.g. post #7159298)
Making-of videos in Youtube and bilibili always include the respective illustration as a thumbnail. However, these must not get this tag because it would dilute its utility and make it redundant.
