Twisted Metal is a series of vehicular combat video games published by Sony Computer Entertainment, and developed by various companies for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3.
The games follow Calypso, the mysterious host of a deadly vehicular combat tournament called "Twisted Metal", with the promise of granting the winner whatever they ask for if they win the tournament.
A live action television adaptation staring Anthony Mackie aired on Peacock in 2023. Unlike the video games, the tv show is a post-apocalyptic dark comedy which features characters from the games. Despite being different from it's source, the show was a surprise hit with a second season in the works.
