Packaging used to display a toy for sale in a shop.
This is often of the form of a plastic clam-shell inside a cardboard box (common for e.g. figures and dolls) with (or without) a window in the front, a plastic blister pack with a cardboard backing (common for e.g. smaller toy cars), or a thermally sealed plastic bag. In all cases, there will be the product name printed somewhere on the package, and possibly a UPC bar code or price tag.
The contents may be an actual toy, a model kit, an inanimate character doll or charm, a miniaturized version of a living character (miniboy or minigirl), or possibly a scaled-up version of such a box with the actual living character inside. In the latter two cases, the character might be described as encased or restrained.
