A 1997 romantic disaster movie directed, written, co-produced and co-edited by James Cameron about a fictional couple from different social classes who fell in love on board the RMS Titanic during its ill-fated voyage in 1912. Although based on real events surrounding the sinking, the story is fictionalized, focusing on said couple and people related to them, rather than the sinking itself.
