Edit
A carrier-borne version of the World War II Spitfire. As improvements were incorporated into the land-based Spitfires, they were also applied to the Seafire, resulting in a number of differing models. Improvements for carrier use could include a folding wing, arrester hook, improved undercarriage, contra-rotating propellers, and the use of the Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. Most were armed with a cannon, machine guns, and could carry rockets and bombs.
