Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel is a sequel to Rosenkreuzstilette that was released in October 2012, with Freudia Neuwahl as its protagonist. It takes place a few months after the events of the first game and the Church has started witch-hunting Magi, presumably in response to the holy war fought against them by RKS. In addition, a new mysterious organization called the Black Cross appears, made up entirely of Dark Magi, with a mysterious agenda.
A boss design contest was held, with five winning entries plus a special entry by Shizuku named Strudel, who is Freudia's fairy partner rather than a boss.
