R5 RGP (Remington Gas Piston) is a carbine of US origin, designed and manufactured by Remington Arms since 2010. It is an AR-15 type rifle which uses a gas piston operating system in an attempt to improve the reliability. The RGP fires the 5.56mm NATO round from STANAG type magazines.
