Edit
The Radeon RX 9070 XT is AMD's flagship from the Radeon RX 9000 series line of graphics cards and was released March 6, 2025. AMD opted to not compete against Nvidia in the high-end graphics card market with the 9000 series, instead focusing on the mid-tier and lower markets. The 9070 XT as such is comparable to Nvidia's RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 5070 Ti GPUs, especially in rasterization performance. Going along with this change in focus was AMD's naming change from previous Radeon RX series, making the naming scheme similar to Nvidia's so people could more readily compare equivalents.
General reception of the RX 9070 XT has been positive, particularly amongst reviewers, though there has been anger at what appears to be a fake MSRP of $600 as there have been indications, though denied by AMD, that this is only a temporary price for the launch with the prices afterwards to go up. A lot of expectations have been placed on this GPU, as various issues with availability, pricing, and tech issues for Nvidia's RTX 50-series has driven interest for an affordable alternative to Nvidia's cards.
