Chinese (traditional / simplified): 千手觀音[菩薩] / 千手观音[菩萨] (Qian shou Guan yin [Pusa])
Japanese: 千手観音[菩薩] (せんじゅかんのん; Senju Kannon [Bosatsu])
Literally, "Guanyin with A Thousand Arms". A bodhisattva known in East Asian Buddhism.
Characterized by the statues' many (usually forty-two) arms and several (eleven in most cases) faces.
Often being called some other names. E.g.: 千手千眼[觀世音菩薩/観世音菩薩/观世音菩萨] ("Guanshiyin Bodhisattva With A Thousand Arms and Thousand eyes")
