Edit
A type of vehicle plate, similar in appearance to an L-plate. Much like the shoshinsha mark in Japan, it's designed to show that the driver has completed their learner's qualifications, but they're still new to driving. In some countries such as Australia, Malaysia and Hong Kong, new drivers are legally required for a certain amount of time to display these plates on any vehicles they drive, while other countries such as the United Kingdom tend to recommend the use of these plates without actually making it mandatory.
