Edit
Fullmetal Alchemist (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi) is a Japanese Steampunk manga series written and illustrated by Arakawa Hiromu, with two anime adaptations made by Bones studio.
After a failed attempt to resurrect their dead mother via alchemy, Edward Elric lost his left leg, while his younger brother Alphonse lost his entire body, forcing the former to sacrifice his right arm to affix Alphonse's soul into a suit of armor. After gaining automail prosthetics from childhood friend and mechanic Winry Rockbell, Edward enlists into the Amestris State Military to seek the Philosopher's Stone, hoping to restore their bodies, unaware of its secrets.
