A public phone, with payment by inserting money (usually coins). Often seen furnished inside phone booths and seen alongside phone books.
Traditional Japanese payphones are fat and green and often include a card reader in addition to a typical coin slot.
Don't use this tag where a phone booth is visible, but the payphone inside is not. Do use it instead of phone booth for free-standing or wall-mounted payphones without any sort of enclosure.
