Passenger pigeons (Ectopistes migratorius) were a species of pigeon native to North America. They were known for their extreme gregariousness as well as communal roosting and breeding. They were also known to form massive migrating flocks, consisting of millions or even billions of birds. The species became extinct through the destruction of their habitat (by mass logging), mass hunting and their own gregariousness (a large population was necessary to sustain the species). Being extinct, she lacks the shine in her eyes.
