German automobile company, currently a subsidiary of Stellantis.
From 1929 to 2017 Opel was part of the General Motors conglomerate, and during that period many of its vehicles were rebadged and sold as Cadillac, Saturn, Buick, and Holden models outside of continental Europe. After 2017, they became part of Peugeot.
Opel is primarily sold in the European Union and is a sibling brand to Vauxhall, which offers a near-identical lineup in the United Kingdom.
