The gamepad of the Nintendo Entertainment System, the version of the Famicom released outside of Japan.
While the NES console and its cartridges had an entirely different design compared to the Famicom, the controller was mostly the same in terms of layout. The most noticeable difference is coloration. Where the Famicom gamepad has a red body, yellow front plate and all black buttons, the NES gamepad has a grey body, black front plate, and the A and B buttons are red. There are also three grey stripes over the Select and Start buttons.
